Sarah Shaw, a San Francisco native, pivoted at the age of 50 towards a full-time career in animal and environmental advocacy. Since retiring from her retail stores in 2015, Sarah has devoted her time to directing the Nature Defense Foundation and running her rescue ranch in Healdsburg, California. Sarah currently divides her time between the Bay Area and Hudson, New York.
