The Nature Defense Foundation is a small family foundation that uses its resources for the benefit of environmental and animal welfare nonprofits in California and Hawaii.

Following in the footsteps of our predecessor, Martha Alexander Gerbode, NDF seeks to support the opposition to threats made on the natural balance of our collective ecosystem.

Through collaborative partnerships, NDF works to heighten awareness and steward change towards a more sustainable future. We fund nonprofits within these three areas whose goals are to make that future a reality.
